Better Replacement Head for XRU12 (Z?) Trimmer?

I've got the XRU12Z trimmer. It works fine, as long as the bump-feed head is not jamming or running out of trimmer line. Many of my trimming tasks involve working around stone and concrete, so I end up needing to replace the line frequently - at least once on any day I'm using it. You have to take apart the head to wind more line onto it, which is a fiddly process. Don't get the tension right on your wind? - not too loose, not too tight! - you'll get a jam and need to dismantle the head to rewind. I've read in a couple places here that the Echo head (I forget the name/model of the exact one) that one is a preferred replacement... easier to wind on more line without taking the head apart, better feeding on-the-bump). Yet, those notes have always been written in the context of other Makita trimmer models. Need I worry about the Echo head not fitting or working with my XRU12Z? Thanks in advance.
