Not losing weight despite significant life changes and effort.

Im 36M 5'10 and my weight has been between 180 and 186 for the past 5 years. Recently I went away to Texas for 5 months and i decided that I wanted to return home in better shape than when I left. Before I left I was drinking a handle of whiskey a week as well as going to the bar multiple nights a week. I wasnt working out at all but I did do OMAD most days a week. 1 big meal around 11:30AM.

Since getting to Texas I've cut my drinking in half. I dont do OMAD but I eat smaller breakfast and lunch within a 4 hour window. Ive also been running/walking 3 miles most days and weightlifting at least 1 days a week.

Im about halfway through my time here and despite the changes ive made ive been unable to get below 180. Its become a little discouraging at this point because it feels like the effort ive been putting in has all been for nothing.

Before im told that weight loss is as simple as calories in vs calories out or that if I was serious about losing weight id cut out alcohol completely, what are some nuances to this process that I might be overlooking?
