My ETF portfolio
Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for your opinion on my ETF portfolio. Do you think it is balanced enough, or do I have too many holdings?
I’d like to specify that I’m 21 years old and I plan to hold these ETFs for a very long-term investment horizon. At the moment, they all have the same allocation, but soon I plan to increase my positions in order to reach approximately: 30% world, 15% STOXX 600, 10% emerging markets, and 5% sector ETF.
Currently, my developed markets ETF is iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF Acc – IE00B4L5Y983, which is currently up around +11%.
I was considering some alternatives that seem better in terms of costs and performance, such as:
- Invesco MSCI World UCITS ETF Acc – IE00B60SX394
- Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF Acc – IE00BK5BQT80
- Vanguard FTSE Developed World UCITS ETF Acc – IE00BK5BQV03
In your opinion, does it make sense to sell my current iShares ETF and switch to one of these alternatives, considering that by selling I would realize the capital gain and therefore pay taxes now?
Or would it be more reasonable to keep the current ETF and simply start making new purchases into a cheaper ETF, such as the Invesco MSCI World?
Or should I just keep the one I already have?
