If I recall correctly, Tatsumi causes a rockslide to block the road (in the manga, the anime, or both?). Naturally, the villagers clear it after blocking Sotoba's only exit themselves. This is not only ironic, but completely hypocritical. A collapsed road would quickly attract outside attention and be reported—which is why the authorities actually warned the villagers to remove the roadblock during the hunt.
P.S. If I remember correctly, didn't Tatsumi (or someone else) suggest cutting the phone lines too? That seems equally flawed—in a system like Japan's, wouldn't a sudden, total line outage in Sotoba be detected almost instantly from the neighboring town of Mizobe?

Ciao a tutti! Sto lavorando al recupero e alla preservazione in digitale della serie di Shiki in italiano. Al momento ho già gestito i primi 5 volumi, ma mi mancano i volumi dal 6 all'11 per completare l'opera.

Se qualcuno possiede questi volumi ed è disposto a dare una mano con il materiale o a collaborare per la digitalizzazione, mi scriva pure in privato (DM).

Ho solo trovato le scan dei volumi 1-5 se qualcuno lo ha sarebbe bello poterlo preservare mandando le scan dei volumi mancanti. Visto che il manga in inglese è stato già preservato anni e anni fa, vorrei fosse preservato anche quello Italiano affinchè non diventi un lost media. Se qualcuno lo ha sarebbe utile se aiutasse la community a preservarlo. Grazie in anticipo.
