CP Passage - Are we supposed to know this info?
Hey all
I was practicing CP on Jack Westin's qBank and i got this question. I've never seen anything like it before and it surprised me because nothing close to it was mentioned in the AAMC material. I don't even know if i understood it correctly but essentially when a phosphate group is added its charge is negative, and when you remove an amino acid that can be phosphorylated and replace it with one that naturally has a negative charge, the protein "thinks" it's phosphorylated, therefore "activated"??
