MRI accuracy (non-contrast)

After reading other posts about more damage than expected being found during surgery, am I correct in thinking that if a NON-contrast MRI is showing a partial labral detachment + a “full thickness oblique fissure at central weight-bearing surface of acetabulum” it might actually be more involved than that?

Would there be any benefit to having an MRI with the contrast if a regular MRI clearly shows something?

Thanks!
