Threatened to get kicked out

I'm 18 years old and I have 2 weeks left until graduating. Threats like these have been happening since I was 12, and I was kicked out once at 14, but nne Im more worried about that threat that has been made today since I'm 18 and it would be legal for her to do so. do I'm worried that that threat will be followed through. Especially since I'm about to graduate soon. Andd it doesn't help that my mom has taken in 2 of my sisters kids all under 3 years old.. Doesn't help with fiances stress. And of course, since arguing takes 2 I'll definitely try to deesclate later on when I get home.. i know she starts arguments for the sole purpose to give her a reason to act out.

I'm entering my nursing program this fall and its at a cc so its 2 years, so if deesclation (hopefully) works then I can just tuf it out there, get a job and move. So at the very least I need a plan or advice for anything I can do in that time of I have nowhere to go.

The College I'm going to doesn't offer direct housing assistant, at most they offer emergency funds, which at maximum I can take $1,000 a year.

In Central Texas

  • have a car permit, no car
  • credit score of 682 (though its only 6 months so idk how Mich that would help) -
  • need own t (have one but its connected to my moms and she taken my stuff)
  • I do have a friend who said that if I needed to live by them fnat it would be okay and his house has space. Which sounds like the holy grail but I'm just worried that get there for like 3 months and will be unwanteunwanted oor asks to leave after a short while.
  • right now I am not working but will be employed in June for $13 an hour up until I start school in the fall.

Posting for hopefully any advice or anyone who has similar experiencess or advice on their own experiences or just in general.

Good Morning All,

I'm looking into Being a Surgical Tech as something I may like to do. Can anyone who is working as one share if their job scheduling? Do your employers schedule your shift or are you allowed to do it yourself?

Also, how common is it to come across 12 hour shifts?

Thank you!

An 85, oof 😭 Sorry for the late update because right after my Teas I had a shift schedule and it really took it out of me. I also was crashing out a bit over my score (even though its good I just got rlly sad about it)

Which I know is a pretty good score, but I was reaaaly trying to get a 91+ , the program I'm applying for is competitive because it's based on a point system and they only accept 48 people a year.. Meaning 24 people get accepted each semester. And many do apply. How the point system works is the more prereqs and higher teas score you get the more points you get, but I don't know how many other applicants have near the score or mch more than me.

But I'm mostly just disappointed because I wish I studies harder. I had 2 hour study sessions and followed the pinned study session. Though I felt like I should've studied more. I overestimated how prepared I was. Also I felt like I shouldve just bit the bullet and used a credit card or something to get the two ATI test. Like I literally just needed 6% more to get to my desired score....

Between my study sessions I reviewed Reading first, Comprehension, Math, then Science all with the Momentrix book. Took notes on the ENTIRE book. Then after I did that for like 3 months worth of 2 hour study sessions, I just did Science questions I found on Quizlet, then on March I did NurseHub for 1 month.

So in total I spent $45 preparing, which isn't too bad! and the rest costed me $105 to take..which hurt.

ain, 85% isnt bad, just I'm worried it won't be competitive enough for the program I want (and not only is the program close by, the tuition is extremely affordable..it cost 4k for all three semesters. And nearby hospitals I live by like working with students from there!!)

But yeah..At the very least I'm glad it's over! I reallyy hope I can get in this semester!

Than you everyone who wishes me luck on the test!! :))

Ive arrived at my testing date..i know I'll AT LEAST get an 80% ,really hoping I can get a 91+ though! Will report results back in 4 hours!

UPDATE: Here! I got a 85%....The only reason I'm not super crazed about my score is my program only has 23 spots this semester out of the hundreds that I apply to. wish me luck on getting in! 🙏
