Got a new firestick, and the auto update at the start is going to stop me from the side loading and getting downloader.

I've tried blocking updates via my router, switching off my WiFi when it tries to update.. am I cooked? Is there now no hope?

Someone, please give me hope or end this misery.

Edit: Thanks. I'll reset it and return. Get a refund and buy one, not on the VegasOS.

Wish I posted this after a few hours trying various ways to prevent updates, including the router, etc.
