PC Optimization Question for Marathon (2026 game)

For starters, GPU is a 3080, and CPU is an I7-11700KF, and 32 GB of RAM.

Not sure what I’m missing, I don’t have issues running many games and don’t know why I can’t hold 120 FPS in here. Not very knowledgable when it comes to computer parts, but I feel like my solution isn’t just lock it to 60 FPS. Maybe the tech is finally just outdated.

TYIA for any suggestions or what y’all have your settings set at!

First week playing; it’s been great.

I honestly bought it solely because Destiny is over, and I assumed this is what Bungie would push as their new “work horse”. I joined the subreddit, saw the low numbers on steam charts, and figured it still looked fun. And honestly, it really is fun. I don’t understand where all the hate comes from. I have had a great time with crew fills, had good PvP (granted I haven’t done Cryo yet, so maybe it gets bad), and have enjoyed it as a casual.

Coming from Tarkov and Arc, this feels like a solid middle ground for me, and I love it. Just casual enough for me to be able to hop right back in, but just stressful enough for me to really try and care when I need to. Just my two cents, hate seeing this place constantly be negative and thinking it’ll be dead and gone soon. Enjoy it while it’s here.
