Posting for a friend who has been afraid to take the leap for awhile now! *permission was granted!*
He used to rock a faux hawk in his twink days and at some point stopped going in for cuts and it just kept growing.
He is very confident with the hair that he does have (minus the front and top) and I would have to agree that his length and curls at the ends are lovely but that even if he were to take the leap, it can grow back. Sure, it'll take some years but basically it's not the end entirely if he absolutely hates it.
I personally think he should make a big cut initially, 0-1 fade and blend the top at much as possible. Maybe even a little shorter, military style cut and then give it a few weeks to get used to that again before buzzing it. He plans to keep the length that he does cut off, either to donate or whatever.
I think he could pull off the sideburns and tweed cap with shaved head look super well and he has good facial hair genes. He can literally grow a full wizard beard in a month maybe less.
He's always wearing beanies on days he's not confident and I sweat just lookin at him in that dang thing during the summer months.
Whatchy'all think? Keep hangin on?
