Bypassed Interim Secret Clearance
Greetings everyone,
I want to thank everyone who has been replying to my recent posts. I called Lockheed Martin Security Central and was informed that my interim clearance was not granted. I'm a new grad software engineering hire for an RMS engineering position, and my offer letter states that 'the offer is contingent upon obtaining the necessary clearance in a timely manner.'
I haven't received a start date yet since that comes after clearance is granted. I'm concerned the offer may be rescinded before my full investigation completes.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with LM or another major defense contractor? Did they hold your offer open? How long did your full clearance take after an interim denial? Any advice would be appreciated. I've been very stressed about this."
