[rant] user profile has no pin. any apps you are logged in there gives anyone physically in your house read and write access to them
this is really silly. anyone can setup computer share with any account, log in to your apps, change your playlists. it’s free for all. inviting guests home become a little bit more stressful. i don’t think ppl with roommates would want this at all.
there’s so much “you” in apple apps that it’s absurd you can’t lock a profile behind a pin. i would never expect this from the privacy friendly company, when basic in real life privacy is nowhere.
i don’t have kids. but ppl with kids would struggle a lot with this. suddenly i feel like it’s such a big risk leaving home and anyone would be able to log in to my apple tv.
i’m considering returning this, honestly. an apple tv is essentially your iphone on a big screen but you cant lock it. i feel like i just lost money buying this. which sucks, because the interface is amazing, but apple forgot the basics here.
