Looking for a curved gaming/productivity monitor and getting overwhelmed! Recommendations?
I’m looking for recommendations for a curved ultrawide gaming monitor.
I currently have an Acer Predator PH16-71 gaming laptop with:
RTX 4070 Laptop GPU (8GB VRAM)
i7-13700HX
16GB RAM
2560x1600 240Hz display
I mostly play:
Sims (with mods)
InZOI
Paralives
Stardew Valley
Roller Coaster Tycoon / Zoo Tycoon
Life Is Strange
Oxenfree
Stardew Valley
cozy/story/management games
I’m not a competitive FPS/esports player, but I do care a lot about:
smoothness
immersion
visuals
atmosphere
colors/blacks
overall “premium” feel
I also work from home sometimes, so this monitor would be used for both.
I’m looking for:
34” ultrawide
curved
3440x1440
highish refresh rate
ideally under ~$500ish (but I’m flexible if it’s really worth it)
One thing I’m struggling with:
My Predator laptop display actually looks pretty good, so I’m worried about buying a monitor that ends up feeling like a downgrade visually.
