If you're writing a fanfiction set in the same time as the books, how much do you change the story?
So I have been having a hard time recently with writing book 2 of my fanfic but it feels like I've lost my head or something. I'm currently trying to follow the events of the book but it feels like more should be happening instead of just following the story.
BUT
I also don't want to stray too far from the story.
Any help is accepted, I'm really having a hard time right now.
