I’ve always spent a max of $100 on novelties at whatever pop up tent is closest to my house the week before the 4th. My 9 year old son and I decided to venture into the hobby this year. So far we’ve learned how overpriced those tents always were, how lucky we are to be located less than 30 minutes from Rocket in Wright City MO (and 1h 15m from Superstore in Hannibal), and that we have a LOT more to learn. Here’s what we picked up this year. We’d love some recommendations on how to step up our game for next year! Note that we don’t have any mortars yet but hope to learn how to set up a rack and fuse a show together in the next year or two. Extremely excited to experience the 4th this year in a whole new way.
