Met Bam Margera in person (Story + Love Metal Archives DVD content)

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a story about something that happened to me a few days ago. A week ago, the Plan B skate team was in my country, and Bam Margera came along with them. They had three dates scheduled in different parts of the country, and the itinerary included a quick meet-and-greet followed by a skate demo.

I managed to go to the very last date. After a few hours of delays caused by the organizers, the long-awaited meet-and-greet finally happened. You could bring an item to get signed, and if you were lucky, you could get a photo with them. Long story short, I brought my copy of the Love Metal Archives Vol. 1 DVD—which, as we all know, features four music videos directed by Bam.

When it was my turn, I said hello, chatted with him for a couple of minutes, and politely asked if he could sign the DVD. He looked genuinely surprised and said, 'This is amazing, I totally forgot this even existed!'

I told him I knew perfectly well that he was a huge fan of the band, just like I am.

Then he asked me, 'Are you sure you want me to sign it?'

I replied, 'Yes, absolutely! You were a fundamental part of HIM, and it would be an absolute honor.'

He signed it, and we shook hands in a way that truly felt like a connection between two fans. After that, I asked for a photo, and he agreed right away.

And well, that’s pretty much it. I just wanted to share this experience with you all. I know a lot of people don't like Bam Margera because of past controversies involving Ville Valo and others. But no matter what, he was a huge part of my teenage years back in the 2000s, just as he was a big part of HIM's history. Seeing him now, in a more mature stage of his life and sober, was a really nice experience.
