Some noob-y questions before (properly) starting the game.
Hello all, I'll try to keep it brief. I'm very new to WoW and MMOs in general.
For some context, I tried out the game in 2020 through the free trial (Shadowlands was the current expansion at the time), leveled a Paladin to lv. 20 doing some quests and quit after that. I don't remember much, so I might just delete that character and start over again (either way it's not like I had a lot of progress).
Thing is, I've recently been wanting to properly return and play through the game. I've seen some beginner guides and they emphasize dungeons and raids a lot, but to be honest it's not the content I'm really looking forward to (at least not for now); I'm more interested in solo content, exploring the world, playing through the story. I'm aware of some iconic characters like Jaina, Anduin, Sylvanas, Garrosh and such and I'd be much more interested in exploring their stories, interacting with them, is it possible? Are there campaigns or a story mode still available?
From my understanding, current progression goes Exile's Reach -> Dragonflight -> War Within -> Midnight (eventually), so do I miss out on the main stories with said characters? Or is the story (or the closest experience to a singleplayer campaign) really not the main focus of WoW?
Sorry if questions sound confusing, and thanks to anyone who stops by to read and/or reply.
