Summer Chess at Aigburth Chess Club
Hi everyone!
I'm Andrei and it's been a year since I introduced our chess club to Reddit. I have been very lucky to welcome some of you to our chess family so here we go again.
We are located just outside St Michael's train station (you can find us on Google Maps) and we get together every Wednesday at 19:30. We are a group of cca. 20 players with ratings varying from 1300 to 1900s and we play in the team chess competitions across Merseyside.
We don't really offer training or lessons except from what is learned through playing but there will always be something to pick up if you are a beginner/intermediate. If you are advanced, there are good opportunities to test yourself against our stronger players. Those interested in playing competitively regularly can be offered paths into our teams. One of our teams from last season consisted mostly of players who found us through my previous post, and that team finished 2nd in their division.
That being said, the summer schedule is listed above and on weeks when there is no competition there will be friendly games. Drop me a message or comment with any questions here or via WhatsApp!
