My dad wants to disown me because of my haircut
As Salam alaikum brothers and sisters, like the title says my father is speaking of disowning me because Im growing my hair and my half siblings are age 12-9-6 and his excuse is that he doesn’t want to show them that’s okay. That it’s not okay to disobey him and no matter what he says we have to obey because that’s what Allah tells us. I totally agree and understand that he doesn’t want me to be a bad example however growing your hair out is not haram he even said it’s not haram however it’s disliked. My parents were divorced since I was born My mother is also Muslim however she’s not as extreme on the rules as much as my dad. Is it okay for parents to disown their child over such matters? Please let me know I’m currently staying with him for a while I’m a grown adult by the way but my mom wanted me to spend time with him since we never really lived together for more than a month.
