I'm in a bit of an awkward situation. I'll do some googling too, of course, but I thought I'd ask here too.

So I did my PhD during Covid. Meaning that every conference I registered to in the beginning was either moved online or cancelled. I went to several conferences later, but by that time, I had publications and results, so I only ever did oral presentations.

Meaning, I'm now nine months into my Postdoc and I've never made a conference poster. Which I need to do now, and pretty quickly, too and preferably without bugging my supervisor about it too much.

I'm just wondering, what software do people use for layouting something that big? And how do you format it to get it printed? I've only ever done A4 or smaller.
