In-state tuition

Is it just me or is the tuition rate for in-state way too high? I thought it was supposed to be more affordable than going OOS somewhere else but upper level engineering is 13k a semester. Not to complain too much but they pretty much start charging that your second year if you have AP credit, and >40k a year for everything just seems excessive.

20 y.o. rising senior

I’ll be 20 until basically the end of fall semester, and i’ve never had an issue being a bit young until now. Any tips on what to do for the next couple months, since all my friends are already 21? How can I avoid fomo? I’m thinking I just lock in with schoolwork since I don’t want to be the one holding everyone back.

Is ECE sugs basically guaranteed?

Electrical Engineering rising senior, in state, with >3.8 eecs gpa, and i’m pretty sure I can keep it above 3.5. I was wondering if ECE sugs was pretty much guaranteed if I follow all the steps or if I would be better off doing the 3.4 program which says is pre-approved admission. I don’t really have an alternate plan besides doing a masters at the university.

Should I commute for SUGS?

I’ve been living on central campus the last couple years with friends, but I’m considering commuting from home for my one year. I’m doing engineering SUGS so i’m assuming most of my classes will be on north campus with maybe 1 on central. I live ~20-25 minutes from north and maybe 30 from central, would the time spent driving and parking be worth the money saved or would I be better off living on campus without a car?
