UBC R, 176 LSAT, 88% GPA

I usually don’t respond to comments like this, but some of the reactions here have honestly been disappointing from my last post.

Getting rejected from a school you genuinely hoped to attend is already hard enough. I worked extremely hard for this process, 176 LSAT, 88% GPA with drops, strong extracurriculars, and what I believed was a thoughtful, well-prepared application.

So to come here, share a real result, and immediately be met with accusations that I’m lying, trolling, or somehow fabricating the outcome is pretty disheartening.

I understand the result may seem surprising to some people. I understand admissions outcomes can create anxiety, especially when people are trying to benchmark themselves against others. But there’s a difference between surprise and outright disrespect.

What’s frustrating is that instead of having a mature conversation about how unpredictable admissions can be, some people chose mockery.

If you don’t believe the post, that’s your choice. But accusing someone of lying when they’re sharing a disappointing personal outcome says more about the culture of this community than it does about me.

I shared this because admissions transparency helps applicants understand that outcomes are nuanced. Not everything fits neat assumptions.

Wishing everyone applying the best, genuinely
