Ulcers standstill

Just looking for some insight; I’m 31 years old & I been dealing with proctitis for 4 years now & within the past year it’s been in overdrive. More tests & just trial & error when it comes to different meds. I’ve taking mesalamine suppositories, oral tabs, enemas & now I’m on the budesonide rectal foam. I’m starting to realize before I can determine if the meds are actually working it seems that it gets worse before it gets better. I spend more time in the bathroom just pushing, where let’s say if I’m on mesalamine suppositories for 3-4 weeks & there’s no progress I’ll just stop taking anything for about a week. But I’ll feel myself with some relief with no meds. However the bleeding comes back & itll get somewhat strenuous after a while. Then I’ll start my new meds like the budesonide and it doesn’t feel it’s getting any better.
My question is

Do anyone else have the same experience when it comes to switching meds? I’m still in my first week taking the foam, and I know it takes weeks to know if it’s working or not, but does anyone else share the same story & how long do you think it takes to have some relief when trying something new.

I know it’s all case by case & what works for you may not work for me, but if you have this illness you know how exhausting it can be just dealing with it. I have another colonoscopy in a few weeks & I go see a surgeon for consultation next month. Hard to really discuss with ppl & I’m really over this illness lol but I’m trying to keep it peaceful on the surface. Any insight from anyone would be helpful, thank you & sorry for the long read but u know how it is 🤣🙏🏾
