I have a tray loading iMac g3 and it won't enter the boot menu or boot from cd. I hold alt while booting and it doesn't boot into the menu and c doesn't making it boot the install cd. Open firmware will work but it doesn't wanna boot the CD either. Does anyone know why this could be happening, it's really confusing me

I've been trying to find a way to run quake on my g5 running osx 10.5. I can't run the original Mac version, and none of the source ports I've tried have worked. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do?
