Anyone actually get this to work? What am I doing wrong?

Anyone actually get this to work? What am I doing wrong?
I scooped up a 12k restored unit from Walmart recently for $249. Unit was perfect! Brand new no issues etc.
Are there any deals like that right now on the other units? I’m contemplating getting rid of some of my old bedroom AC’s and swapping them out with these midea ushape units. I assume the recall was on all units, so wondering if there are good deals out there for my needs.
I bought a “restored” unit about a week ago from Walmart for $249. Was hesitant with it being restored but couldn’t resist the price. Glad that I did! Unit is brand new and works perfectly. It even has the flash cool feature, which I understand to be a feature only on newer models. So happy that I got a newer model.
I’m kicking myself for not buying a 2nd unit at that price as I need another unit. I figured I’d get the first one, and if it looked good and worked as expected I’d buy another restored unit from Walmart. Well they still have restored units but the price is now $299. I keep checking the listing in hopes it drops to $249 again.
Also finagled a $40 rebate through my states energy savings program. So overall $210 for what is essentially a brand new perfectly looking and working 12,000 BTU unit! Absolute steal at that price.

I just installed my refurbished unit. In the box there was a bag of about 6-7 drain plugs. I was wondering why they give so many extra plugs. I pulled out the blue stopper plug on the circle to the right in the pic and swapped in a drain plug.
But then once installed I noticed another blue stopper plug in the middle. Should I also yank this out and put in a drain plug?
I leaning to leaving that middle blue plug in place and not swapping it with a drain plug. I’m thinking with my slight slope of the unit, water will not pool up there.
So should there only be one drain plug installed? I’m just confused why they would give me a bag with half a dozen drain plugs.
I have Pella brand double hung windows. My window sill doesn’t have a lip, and also it isn’t exactly flat. Just wondering what the group thinks I should do in terms of installing the flat sill adapter. I’ve attached pictures. But basically I’m getting hung up on the lack of space for me to install the sill adapter. If you look at one of the pics, I could screw it down on that fairly thin piece of wood. And hope I don’t split it (I’ll pre drill my holes). That’s the closest I can get the adapter to the window. Which looks to be about an inch further away from the window than it should be.
If I install it this way, is there wiggle room when I install the AC onto the bracket? I’m worried I set it up, and then won’t be able to close the window down into the U-Shaped area of the unit.
Thanks for the help!!!
