Invitation letter for tourist visa (L)

Lebanese citizen here. I'm planning a trip to China as a tourist and I was informed that I need an invitation letter from a Chinese entity/company with the business registration number of the said company. I don't know how to get one when I'm going for tourism! Has anyone with a weak passport applied for a visa to China lately?
I found a website called hello china trip and they offer this service (an invitation letter for visa purposes) but it costs $300 which is not cheap and I'm worried it might be a scam! They require a looooooot of information, scanned passports, hotel bookings, detailed day to day itinerary. I've already filled their form but haven't proceeded to payment cause it's seeming a bit fishy! I tried asking them for their Chinese name and registration number and they said I could have it only after payment. What do you think? I'm desperate for any help, advice... have you bought this specific service (invitation letter) from an agency before?
