USCIS Case Delayed Nearly 7 Years — Writ Ready to File, Need Oregon Co-Counsel
I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction.
My husband and I have been dealing with an immigration case for nearly 7 years. We have already retained counsel and paid for a federal Writ of Mandamus regarding a long-delayed USCIS case. The Writ has been fully drafted and is ready to file.
The only thing preventing filing is securing Oregon local counsel/co-counsel for the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
Our lead attorneys have been searching since late 2025. I recently began contacting Oregon attorneys myself and have had some discussions, but so far have not been able to secure local counsel willing to move forward.
I am not looking for someone to take over the immigration case. The lead attorneys would remain on the case and have already completed the substantive work. We are specifically looking for an Oregon attorney who may be willing to discuss a local counsel role for a federal mandamus action against USCIS, or who may know attorneys that handle this type of work.
If anyone has experience with federal immigration mandamus cases in Oregon, local counsel arrangements, or can recommend Oregon attorneys with federal litigation experience, I would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you.
