Advice needed SEN TA
So I’m a new SEN TA on agency at a school, I’ve been there 3/4 weeks and I work with one class in particular. As we get to the end of term they’re all particularly escalated and getting aggravated and angry at each other. Yesterday multiple students engaged in physical altercations over the period of a lesson. I had to physically intervene by body blocking with some of the students to stop them attacking others. There were multiple instances of physical altercations during this lesson none of them resulted in any physical injury. However, I was with a teacher and a member of support staff who did not attempt to intervene other than verbally. I am aware I need to report that I had to physically intervene but I need some advice on how to do this and what to do in future?
