Samsung Q990F HDMI Troubleshoot
Hello,
Hoping someone can help because I'm running out of ideas.
I recently bought a Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar. It works perfectly when connected to my TV through eARC. No disconnects, no shutdowns, no issues at all.
The problem only happens when I connect the soundbar directly to my PC through HDMI (mainly for listening to music, Spotify, YouTube, videos, etc.). The soundbar will randomly power itself off every hour or so, even while audio is actively playing. It shows "BYE" on the display as if it is intentionally entering standby.
Things I've already tried:
• Turned Auto Power Off to OFF in the SmartThings app
• Moved the connection from my motherboard HDMI output to my GPU using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter
• Disabled every power saving option I could find in Windows and GPU settings
• Changed refresh rate and resolution settings
• Disabled browser hardware acceleration
• Disabled audio enhancements/exclusive mode
• Tested while playing music and video with active audio
Does any one have any fixes for this please?
