Nakakafeel ba kayo minsan na mali yung application ng KPIs sa work niyo?

A KPI is not the goal. It’s a signal.

Kaso minsan, nagiging reason siya ng ibang boss para i-compare employees unfairly. Like, “Bakit si ganito nahihit yung target?” pero hindi naman tinitingnan na baka outlier lang pala siya. Ilang tao lang yung ganon, kasi iba pala ginagawa nila, palagi pala silang nag-o-OT, mas madali pala yung tasks, or iba yung support na nakukuha.

Minsan ina-apply pa across departments, kahit iba-iba naman yung nature ng tasks, workload, complexity, and output ng bawat team.

Doon nagiging unfair yung KPI. Kasi yung number lang nakikita, hindi yung context behind the number.

At some point, kapag KPI na lang ang basis ng performance, parang hindi na siya measurement.

Nagiging pressure tool na siya.

Kayo ba, na-experience niyo rin ba na ginagamit yung KPI as justification kahit hindi naman fair yung comparison?
