my question is quite straight-up: How are you guys making money? :))

Ich bin neugierig:

Ich war in letzter Zeit auf einigen Hochzeiten und hatte das vergnügen mit Fotograf:innen in DE/NL/SE/DK zu sprechen, und es klingt, als wäre der Print-Verkauf bei vielen ziemlich eingebrochen.

Kund:innen gehen mit den Dateien nach Hause, lassen sie irgendwo drucken, und die Fotograf:innen sehen keinen Cent davon.

An alle, die in der EU arbeiten: Geht's euch genauso? Und falls ihr es geschafft habt, den Print-Verkauf am Leben zu halten : was funktioniert wirklich? Welches Labor nutzt ihr, welche Galerie-Plattform, und wie verkauft ihr das den Kund:innen?

Ich versuche herauszufinden, ob das ein echtes Muster ist oder nur an meinem Umfeld liegt. :)

I'm working on a project around gallery delivery and print sales for European photographers (especially wedding / portrait), and I'm trying to validate whether the problem I think exists actually does.

Three questions for anyone who's tried to sell prints to clients:

1. What gallery tool are you currently using (Pic-Time, Pixieset, ShootProof, picdrop, something else)?
2. Of your last 10 weddings, how many couples actually ended up ordering a physical product through you?
3. If the answer is "almost none" ... what killed it? Lab quality, EU shipping times, the platform's commission cut, the conversation with the client, or something else entirely?

Not selling anything, just trying to learn.
