I've been playing portal stories which is a community mod for portal and I've been enjoying it alot but I've been stuck on this chamber in chapter 4 I think it's the third chamber in the chapter

I went to see a walkthrough on youtube and that gate blocking my way just doesn't exist in them so is my game just glitched or had the game been updated and the old way of solving it just doesn't work anymore?

if you know the answer please just let me know if it's solvable without telling me the answer I just need the sanity check
