Currently I work as a Detention officer at the county Jail. I was accepted in the next academy to acquire a peace officer license and hit the streets. Lately though I’ve been curious and contemplating on pursing a career in firefighting. I’m in decent shape, I work out 3-4 times a week. The age cap is 36 so if I’m going to do it it’s now or never. Just not sure if it’s the right move or if I should just continue my career in law enforcement. Hoping to get some clarity.
