Recently Diagnosed With Papillary Thyroid Cancer (Very Early/Low Risk) Anyone with similar results?
I had a total thyroidectomy 4 weeks ago due to a multinodular goitre that was compressing and narrowing my trachea. I got my pathology report back on Friday, and they found papillary thyroid carcinoma, infiltrative follicular subtype.
The cancerous area was very small, the margins were clear, and there was no spread to my lymph nodes or anywhere else. From what I understand, this is considered a very low-risk outcome, and I know I was extremely lucky.
I’m just wondering if anyone here has had a similar diagnosis and what your experience was like afterward?
