I was prescribed by neurologist for my unexplained tingling sensations. Before this I was recommended Prozac and it wrecked my sleep. First dose of Amitriptyline made me sleep that night. But, as days past Paresthesia has got even worse. I will quit taking it today. Has anyone ever experienced withdrawal symptoms after taking a low dose for a short period of time like this? I hope I don’t get worse now.

I was prescribed Prozac for my unexplained tingling sensations by a neurologist. After taking 20 mg daily for 2.5 weeks with messed up sleep, I visited another neurologist and she told me I didn’t need that. She recommended amitriptyline instead. I am taking it for the last 2 days and my sleep got back to normal. But I am having a weird facial numbness since I stopped taking Prozac. Is this normal for taking Prozac for less than 3 weeks? Is it a withdrawal effect?
