The river is very high and fast right now. Even with that being the case, living in Cloverdale, we still see people going in every day.

Just now there were apparently people in the river in kayaks and on an SUP that had capsized. Two of them made it to the bank but one was floating down the middle of the river (with her PFD floating away).

Ambulance just pulled up, so hopefully everyone turns out to be okay, but even if that's the case now it is very easy to get swept away even when the river is low, let alone with how it is now.

TLDR: Stay out of the river right now, it's not safe, even if you're in a kayak!
