So… I kind of wish I had known just how strong the anti-AI feelings were before I created an entire AI music + AI visual project and then paid to promote it. 😅

I thought I had made something really cool.

Then I came to Reddit. 😂

I’m pretty new here, and apparently I missed several chapters because I genuinely had no idea how heated the conversation around AI art and AI music had become. I’ve learned very quickly that simply saying “I made this with AI” can turn into a whole philosophical debate about art, creativity, musicians, jobs, ethics and whether you personally caused the downfall of human civilization. 😂

Meanwhile, I’m over here like… I just wanted to make a Halloween album with little movies. 👀

So you all seem like people I can actually tell what I’ve been doing.

I created an eight song Halloween album called October Never Ends. Instead of just releasing the songs, I decided every song would have its own female character and its own visual story. I’ve been creating these little AI animated shorts, all under a minute, to go with each song.

This is the character from Midnight Invitation.
I build each short a few seconds at a time. I start with the song and the story I see in my head, create the character and her world, then generate little animation clips and try to connect them into an actual story.
Which sometimes goes beautifully.

And sometimes AI decides she needs a different face, a different outfit, an extra finger and an entirely different life. 😭😂

So there’s a lot more trial and error than I expected. Prompting, regenerating, changing scenes, throwing things away, keeping the happy accidents, editing everything together and syncing it back to the music.
And despite my slightly traumatic introduction to Reddit 😂, I still think what I made is pretty cool. I’m having fun with it, I’m learning a lot, and I have six more shorts to finish.

This character’s short, Midnight Invitation, hasn’t been released yet, but the first two chapters are already out. If you’re curious and want to see what I’ve been creating, the links are in my bio. 👀
And please tell me what you’ve been creating too, because I genuinely would love to see it.
