Hi everyone!

I'm quite new to the app and pet sitting- pets that aren't belonging to friends- in general. It's tough getting to grips with Rover!

I had my first multi-day house sit the other day. I think it went fairly well. It was two small dogs, very sweet- though one was quite nervous and refused to go on walks. The owners are very nice and we get along well. They want to book me for a one week holiday they have coming up. However, during my original stay I discovered that they don't really want me to leave their dogs at all- but that if I do it should be for no longer than 4 hours at maximum, preferably 2. Their house is already quite far away from where I live, over an hour on public transit and in the countryside.

I like the owners and the dogs but I feel like a week trapped inside a house with a dog that may or may not go on a walk could be a bit much for me. Since I'm new to petsitting I keep my rates on the lower end of average in my area- about £30 per night. I wasn't aware that people charged extra for constant care but I do feel like a higher rate would make it feel worth it. Though since I'm quite inexperienced and didn't charge an increased rate for the first sit, I feel guilty at the idea of doubling my rates this time. Like I've been misleading? It is completely my fault in the first place for being a rubbish communicator and not making sure expectations were clearly outlined in the meet and greet- a learning moment for sure.

What do you guys think I should do? If I do charge for constant care, how do people usually bring it up?

Thanks!
