Hi folks, I'm headed up to camp near Houlton soon, and while I have a little list of places I want to check out for birding, I'd love to know if y'all have any recs! I'll be up for a couple of days, and willing to drive 15-20 minutes for a good spot :)
Far and away one of my biggest triggers is food and food contamination- even though I have been kitchen and food service trained and know the actual realities of foodborne illness and stuff, I really REALLY struggle if leftovers exist longer than a day. Old food that didn't get used? Forget it. It's in the back, I can't think about it without wanting to yeet myself
But the fridge was too full of old things and in my head they were starting to "contaminate" even brand new sealed food I got and I just couldn't take it anymore.
Today was trash day, so I threw it all out. And I was even braver and didn't just throw out the containers with it- I actually took a minute to put a mask on and just power through cleaning it out.
It sucked!!!!! So much!!!!!! But I did it!!!! And my reward is a meal of salad, my safe food frozen pizza, and a THC seltzy.
Subaru/Subie/Ru is now seven months old, absolutely perfect, and also has reached the cranky teenager phase where if she's not given at least one cardboard box a day to destroy, the demons overtake her and she is not responsible for what they tell her to do
