Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:

$1000 - $1500 USD

Are you open to refurbs/used?

Yes if from a reputable vendor.

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

I care about build quality, performance, and battery life. It should be able to do 6 hours on battery new if possible. It needs to run windows.

How important is weight and thinness to you?

Somewhat, I would prefer something light similar to a mac.

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

Ideally 14 Inch, but 16 is okay.

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.

I need to be able to run general programming software, use SQL tools, etc. For personal use I want to run Godot on the machine for basic game dev but this will be 2D pixel games.

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

I am fine without the ability to game much. If it can run slay the spire or basic indie games that is plenty.

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?

Build quality is important. Something that is not going to break right away.

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

Hello, thanks for reading through everything. I'm looking to get a laptop for work that is able to handle large datasets and coding with the datasets. So I am probably looking with something that has 32gb of RAM. Also, I am unable to do mac do to some software compatibility issues but the overall feel of a mac but windows is a must. I do like to gamedev as more of a hobby so the 32gb of ram can also help there. Thank you!
