I really love reading fantasy books where there is some kind of political intrigue or games at work. I love when you're figuring things out with the characters and having treachery or double crossing revealed or a games within games kind of vibe.

Some recent ones that I have read that I absolutely loved;

Queen’s Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner
The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
Hierarchy series by James Islington
The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson

And I have the Empire series by Raymond Feist next on my list. Any suggestions of a similar vein would be awesome!
