【September 7, 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Busou Shinki】
On this day twenty years ago, a revolutionary action figure series officially hit the market, triggering a chain reaction that transformed the entire market landscape.
Busou Shinki (武装神姫) demonstrated the potential of mecha musume i.e. mech girl style and female articulated figures in general, driving the development of related industries. Without them, the "girlpla" we know today - if they exist at all - would likely have been delayed by several years.
Once again, huge thank you to the insightful Toriyama, the superb Asai, the talented Shimada, BLADE, Magaki, CHOCO, Yanase, and all the many designers and creators who have poured so much heart and soul into this platform. 🫡
