Today is my 1 year HRT Rebirthday. The sun has returned and I can't wait for my first fully-out summer 💖
I celebrated with a hike through the forest near my home this morning (pictured). Shortly after taking this picture, a woman with two children were approaching on the path from the opposite direction. She gave me a big ol' smile (which I returned), and told one of the kids "stand to the side so she can pass by." I smiled again and thanked her, and wished them all a beautiful day. It was the first time a complete stranger has ever gendered me correctly. I got past them and kept walking as I quietly burst into tears.
I know you'll never read this, but to that kind woman on the trail: thank you. You couldn't possibly know what that meant to me. Happy May Day
