Looking at the Stinner Carrizo (the steel frame) vs the Lynskey Aeon.
This would be my first road bike-the closest analogue would be a 2014 Sirrus Sport Disc, that's way too big.
I'm more into MTB, riding a S4 2022 Stumpjumper. The 2026 Roubaix seemed to be a great fit for me.
I'm interested in supporting American made product (more out of ethical manufacturing support), but am struggling with picking between the two.
The frame for the Aeon is 975 (bankruptcy?), normally 2050. The complete bike is 3450, and I'm not sure that's on sale. The Stinner Carrizo is 3895 by comparison. The frame is 1695, so significantly more.
I will be riding infrequently in Phoenix AZ. I say infrequently because most of my riding will be mountain biking.
Please help me with your perspective on both.
EDIT: Lynskey owes too much money to other companies. Stinner it is.
