I’d like the body of an Aer Day Sling with the strap of a Peak Design Everyday sling
The Aer Day Sling 4 Max has amazing organization, tons of room, just overall a really nice package. The Fidlock clasp is pure witchcraft.
But the strap itself is awful. It constantly gets twisted and is difficult to untwist. (Ironically, I think the weighty Fidlock is part of the reason the nylon strap doesn’t like to ‘unwind’ itself automatically.) I can’t get the bag to stay against my back, probably because you can’t tighten it on the fly. I had to buy an aftermarket pad and use safety pins to hold it in place, but that doesn’t solve the other issues.
The PD strap on the other hand is amazing. Super comfortable, easy to adjust, keeps the bag in place, and so robust-looking I feel like I could dangle from a helicopter by it.
I wish either Aer or Peak Design would just copy the other’s body/strap and make my dream sling.
