It’s my grandmothers (nanna) 85th birthday today (Saturday) and I found this quick stitch on Etsy. Bought and completed within 24 hours. It’s currently near 3am here in the UK.

My nanna used to take my sister, cousin and I fairy hunting along the river when on our weekends away with her and since being a very little girl (I’m 36 now) she would often describe me as being ‘away with the fairies’ but would whisper to me ‘it’s the best place to be, my girl’.

She’d make up stories about lands far away where fairies live and dance under toadstools all night long. She is the best, most fun nanna and I’m so grateful I still get to make memories and spend time with her.

Cant wait to give this to her
