Poly Grid parameters changing on bounce

I have a Poly Grid patch that randomizes a set of parameters on each new note trigger.  I use this to play notes until I hear a sound that I like.  I then have a button set up to turn off the trigger on new note so that it no longer randomizes.  This works as needed, and I can set up my MIDI and everything plays as expected.  However, if I try to bounce the track, then it doesn't respect that I have turned off the trigger on new note, and the recorded sound is different than what I had previously.  The only way I have found around this is to record directly to an audio track or to use Rolling Sampler.  Bouncing would be a lot cleaner and easier.  Am I missing something, is this expected behavior?  I'm bouncing because I know that each time I open the project the sound will be different, but my assumption is that Bitwig should just be playing the grid patch as is and recording.

Bitwig is pretty deep, and the ability to do custom key mappings is great. Do you have any non-standard mappings that you find helpful or that allow you to use features that are hard to find? Particularly now that there are new features in Bitwig 6. For example, I use [ and ] to halve and double note clips. It is very handy. I've also changed the default Ctrl-S for Save to Save As, just so that I am better about version control.
