I've been using Gemini for the last few months to help me create google slides decks in canvas that I can then download as powerpoints from the Google Slides app.

It worked fine until today but now all I get are replies saying that it is only an AI and cannot help me.

I am using the same Gem I always use to create slides and the input for this prompt is also cleanly structured.

I sometimes get an "I'm just an AI" sometimes I get the "I cannot help you with that". After I ask "What's wrong?" It admits to the failure and tries to complete the request but seems unable to create the correct format.

Anyone else experiencing similar things?
