Recently purchased a vehicle , no problems and happy overall with the experience.
I rolled the sales tax into the loan and was told I would get the check for it mailed (out of state) so I could register in my home state. I checked in a few days after the sale and was told it’s on its way.
It’s now nearing the end of my 20 day temp plate , still no check. I had called the salesman , was reassured it’s coming overnight, and nothing. I tried to reach out one last time and no answer at all.
I made the decision today to call the sales manager , and I made it clear that I wasn’t trying to throw the salesman under the bus. I just wanted a straight answer as to what was happening. He sounded annoyed and said he would find out and call me back shortly. Still no response yet.
My question boils down to this : was I in the wrong calling the sales manager instead of trying the salesman again , and if I’m still not getting answers still what would be the best option?
