Born and raised in Foshan, China, also known as the largest furniture manufacturing city around the globe. All my family members are more or less in the furniture/home decor/building materials business.
I grew up experiencing my dad missing family dinners one after another because he needed to meet clients. So made up my mind not to dive into the business and went to another city and worked as professional translator and interpreter for quite some years.
Now I come back to Foshan and start to work in the furniture business (due to the declining translation demands), like my dad did when he was younger some 40 years ago. After having a few years of experiences, I grow to understand the reason why this city has its renowned reputation in this industry nw, and have lived peace with my child grudge.
